| So I've been reading and re-reading the original post and some of the follow up... and I can't figure out what this project is doing. I've got some free time coming up and wouldn't mind donating it, if I knew what the deal is (and if I have relevant materials). |

Basically, I figured we'd just make a large index that has sourcebooks and page numbers, especially because a lot of the material doesn't have any indexes at all, more so the 3/3.5e sourcebooks.

| OK, you seem to be working on the Grey Box, I don't have that. I've got a bunch of 3/3.5 material, though. I guess I can just start on the first book that catches my interest (Serpent Kingdoms atm). Any guidelines as to what constitutes a noteworthy entry? I mean we don't need to index spells/magic items (non-plot)/feats/etc. right? |

Well, I'd prefer if people didn't get ahead of us. So, atm we are not working on any of the 3/3.5e material. :)

oops, it's just that you said "more so the 3/3.5e sourcebooks", that got me thinking it was a priority. What are you working on and what's your next step (so I can see if I've got sources for that). |

No worries, I was using it as an example because as I said, a lot of the current books don't have an index. :) And we're still working through the grey box, so until that's finished, I have no idea. :)

Wait a sec, is this the Grey Box you are talking about? http://www.trollandtoad.com/p109802.html consisting of A Grand Tour of the Realms, Running the Realms, and Shadowdale.
If yes, it is sitting right next to me right now, and it already has an index, 5 pages of it (combined for all 3 books). Are you expanding that or is there another Grey Box? |

Nope, that is the 2nd edition version. The grey box came out in 1e and yes I realize both have an index, but it still doesn't matter since this index we are creating will have info from EVERY book and the index from some of the books is not as complete as I'd like them to be, thus, starting this project.

I think it'll probably be best for me to hand my pages to someone else for the time being. An unexpected non-Candlekeep-related project has suddenly found its way into my weekly workload, so I doubt I'll have any further time over the coming week to truly work on this.

Unfortunately I went away (unexpectedly) for two weeks, two days after I made the commitment, and didn't get a whole lot dome before I left. As of tonight, I'm back home, so I should have something for you in a couple of days..

Apologies all for my lack of input - unfortunately we were burgled a couple of weeks ago and the laptop was stolen.
Am finally back online today, but have lots of other work to catch up with and redo.
Am sorry to have to (temporarily) bow out of this project, but my wife needs to get her university work redone and will be using the computer a lot!
Look forward to seeing the results.

I'd skip the map but send me a seperate file about the family lineage. Or you could just add them to the character file. Your choice. :)

however, I've a question :
in the page 38, is quoted Thiombur. A few lines below, he seems to be called Thimobar, and he still seems to be called Thiombar a few more lines later.
Is it a typo sequence ?
Is he an only one man ? So what is his real name ? quote:

I have bad news.
The original time-period I had allotted to this (that first week) I had gone away from home unexpectedly (as I explained previously, for two weeks). I thought I could still squeeze this into my already busy schedule, but its a no-go.
Sorry.
I have to give the maps priority ATM, because since the release of 4e I have been getting slammed with requests, and if I try to work on them and my various writing projects nothing gets done. I am attempting to have a little more focus in my work routine so that can actually start completeing some stuff.
I'm sorry Kuje - this is a VERY worhtwhile project, but I find I simply do not have the extra time to dedicate to it as it deserves.  |

Thats okay Mark, I'm glad, at least, that you replied. I was about to ask my missing people what they were doing. :)
So, Ashe, I'm still waitin on that map key from Scourn. :) Crazed seems to have disappeared and Fillow, Mark was doing the last pages from page 76 to the end of the book.
Wandering-Mage, Arry, or Na-gang, are you three still interested in helping? Or anyone else that has the grey box, so we can get it finished and move on!

I just downloaded the .pdf of the gray box from Paizo (and of the '93 2nd edition box, and of several other things--that place is dangerous!). I must admit I'm not entirely sure what y'all are doing. Building a detailed index, sounds like, but I'm not sure what the actual work process is.
Anyway, I'd be happy to help out a bit if somebody just tells me what to do (and if working from the .pdf instead of from print is okay).
