I know this topic is only slightly related to the Realms, but I'd like to have your help for an item I intend to create for my Realmsian campaign. So, there it goes:
Does anybody knows how to call this headpiece?

Thanks. Also note that I'm not a sage. So I could be wrong and there might actually be a name for that piece within FR lore. I'm sure it's mentioned somewhere. |

Yes, thank you Eric.
No need to give Salvatore any more ideas.

In southern lands, it’s called. Honch’o as in a “ head honcho”.

I would call it a skullcap. It is not exact but it sounds fine and make a point.
But I agree that the film version is more "useless piece of armor". |

Senior Scribe Wrigley,
Yeah, it is funny how such pieces of armor came about. It is bizarre!
Best regards,
