Can we rename this portion of the forums from "WotC News & Releases" to "News & Releases?"

I ask because several of our favorite authors are now working on Golarion, Castlemourn, etc. and there is currently no proper forum section covering non WotC releases...

"RPG News & Releases" might be more appropriate.

I suggest it be moved out of the Realmslore category then.

Thirded. I'd love to be able to share my thoughts about Golarion here, even in some small way.

Would such a category then be limited to products involving authors tied to the Realms. I like the idea, but would that not be a break from the Realms only policy? A title such as that would seem open to discussing Amber and GURPS etc. also.

I was actually thinking more so we could tie in different rules-systems and using them in the Realms, not different campaign settings.

Hmmm... Perhaps making it a sub-forum of the D&D Core Product shelf would be best then.

I'll note also that these changes will likely be among those Forum alterations Alaundo's considering for Candlekeep 2.

I would heartily second that motion.

While I'm all for this, I have to side with Brian on this one -

Perhaps a seperate category called "RPG News and Releases"?

Might be a better way of presenting non-WotC material, like the Golarion and Paizo stuff, for those that only want 'pure' Realmslore.

Unfortunately, the only main heading it would actual work under is Welcome to candlekeep. Even some of the posts in the D&D Core Products section don't really belong there, Ed's Castlemourn included - D20/OGL products are NOT D&D products.

Perhaps it is finally time for a new generic RPG Heading?

What I meant was instead of changing this one, we create a brand-new (yet similar) category, and then maybe even a new header for that category (being as the only header without 'Forgotten Realms' in the title is the 'welcome' one.

I know it was your idea - I just thought you were suggesting that as new title for this forum.

There's nothing preventing you from opening a new scroll for discussion about "Golarion" for the time being PDK.

Since past and present Realms designers/writers are involved with the setting's development, there's every opportunity for scribes here to discuss one or the other, or even both settings. And there's precedent for it. Since we also allow discussion of CASTLEMOURN, given Ed's involvement.

Aye. Maybe this is something else for Alaundo to consider re: Forum restructuring.

Well met

Aye, this particular category has become a little lost from the original intention. I'll get this sorted as part of the new restructure. I'll rename it for now, however.
