Our campaign is already going strong for nearly 2 years. You can check out a sample of the sketches I did for it(see my sig).
Party:
Thuran Silverforge, thetyrian swordsmith of Baldurs Gate, proclaims to be the fastest swordarm of the SwordCoast. Fond of nicknaming people in Waterdhavian slang. (CG thetyrian rogue5/fighter2/streetfighter1 S18 D16; currently lost on the Barrens)
Myorith, scribe and crusader of correllon, main moral compass during the darkness of the Underdark. Hated to hold back against drow while in Menzo. (CG moon elf cleric 5 S16 W17 at end, currently somewhere in Cormanthor)
Myrrzynnia D'Ante, charming and agile sorceress of Tangled Trees. Is known to blast first ask questions later but mostly sees everyone as friends. Her quick actions have been a boon for the parties adventures. (CG woodelf sorceress 8/wildmage1 D19 CH17)
Borat, rashemany halfling (used to be half-orc) woodchopper, fond of drinks and brewing and chopping trees. Mostly acts as the party rogue but in the orcy way, very crude by bashing things! (CN lightfeet halfling Barbarian7/fighter1 S16 D16)
Halander Braamfoot, small but inquisitive Luiren Hin, trained by the emerald enclave to the revereance of Melikki, nature and its forest creatures. He is an adept rider of his warpony Norbert, his animal buddy. Wants to be a judge by natures law. (NG lightfeet halfling druid 9 I16 W17)
Astarin, Chondotan migrant in Thindol, faithfull member of the Order of the One True Vision of Helm. The latest addition for the party is a blond sturdy woman of 30 years, her faith as stern as her face and is a real great guardian of the party. (LN Chondotan cleric7/divineoracle2 W18)

The party started with Myrrzynnia, Myorith and Thuran (current player of Halander was DM) being stranded on an island in the Sea of the Fallen Stars. The only way off was through a kobold miningnest in the highest peaks of the island. Through stealth the party landed in the Underdark where they met a wounded duergar. It functioned as a guide till it betrayed them after 2 days and ended up dead. Not long after the party helped a caravan led by a Half-Drow from a spiderattack and helped guard the caravan to Mantel-Drith, the Underdark Marketplace. There the leader of the caravan was turned to stone in his sleep, so the goods of the caravan were wanted somehow but also in possesion by the party.
By using the goods as a way to get info and a trip to the surface we ended up making a deal with a foppish drow to go the Menzoberranzan. This drow was named Jarlaxle and he introduced the party to the Stench quarters of Menzo. He left the surfacers in an inn called the Seedy Bar. After spending 2 sweaty paranoid days the party managed to get a deal to leave the city in exchange for the scrolls of very high level we where secretly carrying for unknown houses within Menzo. The portal to escape to the surface had to be reached in stealth because it functioned as a drow military outpost. Within the barracks the party found plans for an invasion of Cormanthor which were taken. An old man, a female farmer and an orc were held captive and freed. The orc was given a weapon and went bezerk when he saw drow. The chaos that ensued helped the party escape the cluthes of a drow priestess.
On the surface the party relished in the sunlight, but were soon chased by drow on horseback. They managed to evade this band and could identify the leader of the band by deciphering info from the battleplans. Jezz the Lame, was bound for the Vale of Lost Voices with 20 drow riders to secure some mysterious elven arms and armour from a temple.
