I was looking for info on Azuredge and found this in the 2ed City of Splendors
"Enchanted to be as worthy a weapon as its wielder, Azuredge's powers wax and wane with each new wielder."
To me this would make Azuredge a strong candiate for using the Weapons of Legacy rules
Has anyone used the Weapons of Legacy rules to create or convert an existing magic item?
PS: I also compared the 2ed and 3ed Stats of Azuredge and there seems to have been some significant changes in the Axe
2ed City of Spledor
Equivelant of a +3 weapons but provides no bonus
After the wielder reaches 8th level Azuredge functions as a Mace of Disruption
After reaching 4th level the Axe can be thrown as an Axe of hurling
3ed Magic of Faerun
+5 Throwing, Wounding Battle axe
Im not sure why the MoF authers choose to give the axe the wounding ability but Im thinking of Dumping the wounding ability (Value +2) and replacing it with Bane: Undead (value +1) and Homeland Champion: Waterdeep (Value +1) from Champions of Valor

That looks pretty good for the bonuses side. What are you thinking of for penalties? |
Doggedly converting 3e back to what D&D should be... Sigh... And now 4e as well. |
