Has there been any detailed books on this island? Thanks !
There's been one obscure novel (part of the Spelljammer line), some implication from the 2e kits found in Wizards and Rogues of the Realms and Warriors & Priests of the Realms, some derivative information from the write-up of Samarach in Serpent Kingdoms [3e], and Ed did a wonderful series on the island on the WoTC website (URL currently unreachable).
There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist. Terry Pratchett
Wait there's more. An official version of the Knights of the Flying Hunt appears in Champions of Valor. And for whatever its worth, I wrote up unofficial Nimbrali peer prestige class and and Flying Hunt knight on Eric's website here: http://www.ericlboyd.com/dnd/prestige_classes.html .
Mod edit: I moved the period over so the link would work.
There's been one obscure novel (part of the Spelljammer line)...
It was Into the Void. This particular SJ story features Nimbral to some degree.
As does the Realmspace SJ supplement.
While SJR2 Realmspace does indeed mention Nimbral, I chose not to mention it here. The description that book gives us of Nimral doesn't really match any Realms-centric description we've gotten of the place.

Agreed.
Though I always aim toward near completeness in terms of quoting sources. I'd rather have access to everything about a place and know what's been written and where if I'm going to attempt to expand on it.
Heh... Seems I'm learning George's lesson too well .
