Were you the cartographer for that map? Tis an excellent map, very detailed. Can I assume that the well into Undermountain is the large well in the center of the room in the very back of the inn, one room from the left?

That is actually the layout from the City System ebellished and added to by yours truly. And yes, that be the infamous well. :)

I'll do the upper level here in a couple days when I get some free time.

I must echo. It is very nice and not cheesydone. It's very good done.

Agreed, I like it too!

I had the impresion that the building was much larger, though have not read any detailed describtion of the building. I am not saying any detail presented is in error. What I do see though is an rather poorly designed building. No heat in the main room is one thing that jumps out at me as poor design, of the three chimneys in place location strikes me as odd.

Filling in details certainly allows for some flexiblity.

Well met

It would certainly be a pleasure I am quite intrigued with Dundjinni and mean to have a dabble myself. A job very well done, Mystery_Man, i'll contact ye privately to discuss this further.

Truthfully, I haven't even picked up a copy myself. Although MM's working here has rekindled some of my earlier desires about buying a copy.

One question - how much time does it take to create something in that ilk? I had Campaign Cartographer, but it took forever and a day!

Tweaked the main floor a bit, took the well out. The "wet" well will go in the cellar.

That one took me a couple hours. Once the layout is done hunting around for the little details takes time until you know where they are.

This is great, but (and I hate to be a rule lawyer) there already is a map of Yawning Portal in the Faerun Interactive Atlas. It has much more bedrooms and a second floor. That being said this is a great alternative to it.

I am Talanfir Swiftfeet. (In)famous across the Swoardcoast as "Tal the Swift", Brandobaris´ seraph of mischief. If ye find yer shoelaces tied together while trying to catch a thief or meet a king who is angry because somebody switched the places of his chamberpot and his crown, ye can usually (try to) find me near.

If I had a halfling mother and a human father, would I be a half-halfling or a threequarterling?

There are 3 floors actually, and a cellar.

THIS IS THE MAIN FLOOR

Err correct me if I am in error, but I was under the impersion the Faerun Interactive Atlas was fan based data imput which may not contain canon/offcial information.

The updated first floor does look better to my eyes. Oh when getting to 2nd and higher floors remember chimneys tend to go straight up.
One thing you might not know is that there can be more fireplaces that start up on 2nd floor.

Oh I meant for fire places on the second floor, not actual putting in chimneys. Just that 2nd floor and higher often can have an additional fireplaces hooked to the same chimneys.

Well met

I believe it was produced using Dundjinni. More details on features and pricing can be found here.

Yup, Dunjinni. It's got a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty cool. I was pleasantly surprised at the versatility of being able to manipulate objects.

Great maps. Other references to check (particularly for the cellars) include FRE1 - Waterdeep, the Forgotten Realms Atlas (paper), and the novella "A Slow Day in Skullport" in Realms of the Underdark.

Hey you also mention the "wet" well in your new Waterdeep book (superb job by the way) but I also read about another secret entrance from Durnan's cellar someplace but can't remember where...
