The Red Scourge Reimagined

The Red Scourge was an enormous paddlewheeled vessel from Thay that patrolled the Alamber Sea. Boasting 24 light bombards and 9 light ballistae, this reimagining boasts several extra light ballistae and 4 heavy ballistae. In addition, the traditional Red Scourge possesses metal shutters with arrow slits on its upper deck, whereas the newer design has glassteel windows in a structure that is a brick and mortar outer layer concealing an inner wall of metal. The brick and mortal contains gorgon's blood. Atop the lower building is a round tower, whose windows can be opened from the interior but have permanent black lights surrounding the window (allowing the person within the window to see out, but not allowing anyone to see in. Wizards are known to travel from window to window firing spells to great effect. It is said by some that during the Thayan Civil War this vessel was fitted with a modified dwarven forge helm fitted to accept the energy required from crafting various minor magics as well as alchemical components such as smoke powder, alchemist's fire, bombard fluid, etc... Thus, the shit was filled with apprentice wizards from the Guild of Foreign Trade. Where the boat went during the civil war is little known, but it apparently disappeared after the spellplague. Some say it disappeared to Abeir, and there are whispers that it has been seen returned to Faerun with at least one dragon's head attached to its mast with several holes penetrating it as if from bombard fire.

Alavairthae, may your skill prevail
