I was working on a 3d model of a Wa tsunami spelljamming vessel, and I got an idea that the general shape of the components RESEMBLES bamboo shoots. I then got an idea of "what if over in Wa they have a gigantic form of bamboo that creatures like giants may use to make fishing poles, or that people might use to make houses, ships, etc...". I just wanted to see if this inspires any other people to come up with some similar ideas for something highly useful but not amazing magically just by resizing trees or somesuch. For instance, even as I'm writing this, a palm tree that makes giant coconuts (and thus giant coconut shells) could be really useful. Any other interesting ideas just pop in your head when I bring up this topic?

Oh yes! In my Chult game, some of the grung (tree frog people) used giant bromeliads which caught water in their leaves/blossoms as bathing pools. Giant touch-sensitive ferns were used as pseudo-escalators for slaves of the grung who lacked an innate climb ability, rolling up when touched, causing the slaves to be transported to the top stalk of the fern and/or the lower layers of the canopy. |

Great Reader slevyas,
This is why I wished that Elminster's Ecology had gone the world over. It touches on main areas, but not all of it. They could make a mint on developing that more.
Best regards,
