The folks at Paizo are releasing the serial novellas from Pathfinder Journal feature in the Adventure Paths as ebook. "Dark Tapestry" is a 25K word novella about half-elf druid Channa Ti, set in a fantasy version of Egypt. I like Channa and think folks who've enjoyed my Forgotten Realms books might also like this story.

Since this is only tangential to the discussion of FR novels, I would understand if the moderators decided to lock or delete the thread.

For that matter, I'd be interested to hear thoughts--including an "official ruling" if that seems appropriate--about Forgotten Realms writers posing info about non-FR projects on this forum. Okay? Okay on the designated Q&A but not the Novels?

Elaine, for the most part, we're fine with the practice of FR authors posting links and/or information to/about their non-Realms works -- especially so with material like PATHFINDER fiction because, ultimately, creative DMs might find possibilities for utilising the content of a particular PF tale as the basis for something Realms-related.

That's about as "official" as we can be with queries like this.

I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.

::nods:: It would appear that the Pathfinder game designers agree with you, because elves are very, VERY uncommon in Osirion.

Channa's heritage is mixed: Her mother was a very dark-skinned woman from Geb (think Kenya) and her father was a forest elf from the Mwangi Expanse, the jungle lands to the southwest of Osirion. People usually assume Channa Ti is a human woman from Mwangi.

Unfortunately, this app isn't going to be very helpful since the Pathfinder tales are not currently available in Kindle format. Kindle does not support ePub.

The folks at Paizo have mentioned Calibre as a conversion app. I haven't tried it, so I can't vouch for it personally, but here's a link:

That one looks great -- converting to a pdf is exactly what I want, because then I can read it at work. Thanks for the link, Elaine!

Ah, this actually helps me with a little jam I'm encountering with another ePub source.

Thanks to all.

It converted it to a very small pdf -- as in, the pages are about 1/3 the screen size. I'm guessing it's meant more for reading on smartphones/tablets than on a computer.
