Are there any Forgotten Realms gamebooks (Fighting Fantasy-like)?

No, not really. I just found two "An Endless Quest" books from the early 80s among my collection, but those are D&D, not FR. Plus it is just reading and taking choices, no dice required.

I guess there is really nothing like Fighting Fantasy when it comes to what you are looking for.

Further related input can be found in this thread here

Knight of the Living Dead takes place in Waterdeep. I think it used a single die for combat. I'm not familiar with Fighting Fantasy, time to do some research at the gaming store.

I hope Candlekeep continues to be the friendly forum of fellow Realms-lovers that it has always been, as we all go through this together. If you don’t want to move to the “new” Realms, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with either you or the “old” Realms. Goodness knows Candlekeep, and the hearts of its scribes, are both big enough to accommodate both. If we want them to be.

Enough for now. The Realms lives! I have spoken! Ale and light wines half price, served by a smiling Storm Silverhand fetchingly clad in thigh-high boots and naught else! Ahem . .

There was a Super Endless Quest book set in the Realms, Spawn of Dragonspear. The Super Endless Quest books were like the Endless Quest books (themselves a variation on the Choose Your Own Adventure books), but the Super Endless Quest books did require some die rolling -- so that would be the closest to the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks.

There's also Knight of the Living Dead. I've got two copies of that book; I need to read one of them, sometime.

Kind of along the same line, I guess. Are there any 3E/3.5 or even Pathfinder modules for a DM to run for a single player? Kind of along the lines of Fighter's Challenge from 2E?

In castle of the undead you start in the FR

Was this one of the Ravenloft "Choose Your Own Adventures?"
