Is there such a thing as a Forgotten Realms name generator?
I've never really gotten a handle on any of the different regions naming conventions, so I find random generators useful for populating villages.

Oddly that turned me off... in a print book, I felt like that was something that they could have given a URL for and instead included more game info.

Honestly, I have found lists of names handy in RPG material. I'll not argue against it being offered as a web supplement, though.

Sadly, the days of WotC giving us awesome free content are long gone.

I recall that the 3E campaign setting hardback contained example names sorted by region/culture/race.

I find the trick is to look at a set of names and look for common vowel patterns and frequently used consonants or consonant pairs. Then assemble the names by mixing and matching.
