In the Old Grey Box there is a group of adventurers called The Hunt. The excerpt goes:

quote:
"...active in Cormyr, Sembia, the Dalelands, and the Moonsea area, the Hunt has grown rapidly from eight to fourteen members..."

With a roster of:

quote:
Shasslan Timtrane, 9th level human female fighter, leader, CG

Heldorm Umbrav, 7th level human male fighter, CN

Crommlar Muirel, 7th level cleric of Tempus, human male, CN

Narhas "Battlemad" 6th level fighter, CN human male

Darrstul, 6th level thief, CN, human male,

Orlin Thabbar, 5th level illusionist, NG, human male,

Gultim, 5th level fighter, NG, human male

Vhelt Marrim, 4th level cleric of Tempus, CN, human male

Laelin Blackhand, 4th level thief, CN, human male

Szellim Thunn, 4th level cleric of Tyche, CG, human male

Illar Zund, 3rd level thief, CN, human female (real name Illara)

Voras Warburr, 3rd level fighter, CN, human female, ST 16

Zemmas, 3rd level fighter, CG, human male

Thavran Tori, 2nd level cavalier, CG, human male

Has anyone used this group? Does anyone know of any use of them in published works after this initial appearance?

Thanks for any canon or non-canon information!

Nobody eh?

Man, ye "Ol' Grey Box" had so much in it I thought for sure people would have used this group. Ah well, not every morsel can be eaten.

I'm getting ready for the group to run across this band while they pass through Phlan. I'm going to have them transporting a gnomish relic to the gnomes in the hills...but give the party a chance to do it for them as Shasslan is wanting to be rid of the thing and get back to an adventure in Myth Drannor.

I think that mention may have been the first and last for the mighty "Hunt." That's never a bad thing, just an opportunity to do whatever you will without fear of stepping on those giant toes we call canon. I'm looking forward to hearing what becomes of the Hunt, particularly Battlemad (sounds like a human Thibbledorf Pwent to me).

To me it seems quite strange mix. So many CNs and NGs together. I would say there would be quite many internal conflicts in that group.

Basically they are CN, CG and NG. I believe maybe the CGs help them with dealing with each other. Besides, two CNs are clerics of Tempus, and two are fighters - and maybe followers of the God of War. Tempus' followers have a very particular - even honorable, in a way - CN character...

In the 1e boxed set, I think there was also a temple to Tyche in Shadowdale. I think it was more a thing of Ed didn't swap out all the references to Tyche and replace with Tymora before the final printing, and thus later came the Tyche splitting into Beshaba and Tymora.

That makes the most sense...although there could still be clerics that refer to Tymora as Tyche.

I know in the Ixinos setting Mark and I created I merged Tyche (Tymora) with the role of Nike to create a warrior goddess cult for the Ixinosans that is given its spells by Tymora.
