Well met!
I am returning to D&D after a 17 year absence, and I love that I can dive right into a community like this one.
I started playing as a kid back in 83 and continued all the way through grad school, but then...well, life.
At any rate, I have recently jumped back in and am learning the 5e rules. I've wasted no time getting into the DM's chair and I am building a massive campaign set in a slightly homebrewed Neverwinter region. To get acclimated to the new system, I'm starting with the Phandelver starter adventure, but then I'm taking my players on a romp through some old school content from pulled from every addition and tied together with imagination and googling for ideas.
Which is how I found this site.
I look forward to plundering your collective Realms savvy for tiny bits of canon that my players will never even realize I'm using.

Welcome to Candlekeep! 
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!  |
