Has anyone ever tried to catalogue all the lore from all the sources for cormyr (Ed's thread alone has about a hundred pages of lore).

I'm aware the likes of Brian Cortijo has discovered a few secrets regarding the obaskyr dynasty, I was wondering if they had ever seen the light of day.

Are there any other big secrets that we know exist but don't know the details of yet.

If I were a young man, I think I would love the challenge of gathering as much as could be gleaned from Dragon magazines (even the Dungeon adventures as well), the novels, the threads here, then the tweets, the podcasts. Find it all and sweep all of it together!

If I were an older man, I would enjoy the study of all those things, the cataloging, the understanding, and the finding of secrets.

Alas, I am neither of those men. I'm 40, with 2 kids 4 and under, and life does not allow for it.

But I'd love to try and take part in it, or at least cheer on from the sidelines. Cormyr was one of my first loves within the Realms. It's where my groups always started adventuring from 30 years ago.

There is this old scroll

"These things also I have observed: that knowledge of our world is
to be nurtured like a precious flower, for it is the most precious
thing we have. Wherefore guard the word written and heed
words unwritten and set them down ere they fade . . . Learn
then, well, the arts of reading, writing, and listening true, and they
will lead you to the greatest art of all: understanding."

That's perfect. I just finished getting all the lore I could find from Ed's thread and it's a whopping 409 pages long.

Basics were in sourcebook and Volo's guide.
Sea of Falling Stars and Pirates of Fallen Stars probably got something on Cormyr too.

It's specifically focused on 4e. With fat red letters and all.

I'm quite happy to take 4e lore and track it back through time. The buildings, places, and magic probably existed before 4e in some fashion

No, the fat red letters are a line about where 4E lore can be found. If you look through the thread, it is clearly -- especially with all the earlier references listed -- not focused on 4E. The original poster also referenced 2E and 3E sources in several posts.

It is a good useful Cormyr scroll. I know Jeremy Grenemeyer had some good Cormyr Scrolls going.
