Came across this term while doing research for Muranndin (the title of the Oni that rules there)

What exactly does it mean and is it a one-off term or is it part of a royalty terminology?

It’s a derivation. The ogre ruler of Thar was the Tharkul. So the ogre ruler for Muranndin was a Murkul.
