Hi to you all ;)

I am looking forward, starting a new RPG-group in the world of the forgotten realms.
I am thinking about what books could be helpfull concerning the background an i am also wondering what order concerning the books would be best.

thanks for your help.

Given that you originally posted under the Book Club section, I'm assuming you're referring to novels and not sourcebooks/boxed sets.

There are several relevant questions that must be answered before we can properly advise you:

What era of the Realms are you planning on running?

What geographical section of the Realms are you going to focus on?

What is going to be the primary focus of your campaign? Mystery, high magic, grim-and-gritty, straight swords-and-sorcery, Monty Haul, heavy RP, good guys or evil, party that's skewed towards one character type, etc...

The Forgotten Realms Atlas is always a good book to have around.
