| Just started on Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scoot Lynch. Book two of the Locke Lamora series. I had heard that the series goes downhill after the first book but so far I just dont get that feeling form this novel. Its not as engrossing as the first one admittedly but is still quite an enjoyable book. |

I'm up to Turn Coat, in my re-reading of the Dresden Files.
I may take another break from the series, soon. I really like the books, but I get bored with too much of the same thing, at one time. |

I loved that book as well. Book 3 is where it gets weird. |

The first part of book 2 I've found very enjoyable. Book 3 was mostly boring, don't know what's the point of the play. There were some funny dialogues tough.
Now reading Night of the Hunter. |

| Finished Fall of Kings, the conclusion of David Gemmell's Troy series. I'd recommend this series to anyone who is familiar with the story of Troy but wants to see it retold with a unique twist. |

Finished re-reading The Way of Kings, book 1 of The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. Despite the relatively dearth of action—and a plethora of fillers—I somehow find some of the characters (mildly) interesting, especially Kaladin and Szeth, and considering how I couldn’t exactly care for all of them in my first read, I suppose that’s saying much. I just wish there were a few more chapters dedicated to Szeth. (I couldn’t really complain that much about it though, especially having read Brandon’s announcement that book 3 will focus on Szeth.)
Now reading its sequel, Words of Radiance. Currently on chapter 8. Shallan is the focus of this installment. While she has shown some promise in the first book, I still find her characterization a tad lackluster. Thankfully, we have Pattern, the spren with whom she has bonded, to remedy that. A spren of lies and deceit—who wouldn’t like that?
There’s already enough of building up on the groundwork that The Way of Kings has laid, particularly the Kaladin’s growing powers, Dalinar’s disturbing but “educational” visions during the highstorms, and the man (?) called the Almighty.
I’m looking forward to seeing more of Szeth. If book 1 is any indication, we may find him finally fed up with all the errands of his “master” and break free. Seriously, the man has killed kings and highprinces and even Shardbearers at that; he could easily choose the path he wants if he just wants it enough. As the mysterious Soulcaster said in TWoK, Szeth is a work of art. |

| Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence. 200 pages in, and I like it. I feel like Lawrence does a pretty good job of explaining Jorg's amorality. |

Recently finished Raymond Feists Conclave of Shadows
Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind (had to take a break because of all the rape)
Nightside novels by Simon R. Green
obviously the Sundering
Thinking of rereading Roger Zelaznys The Chronicles of Amber I and II once again, one of the greatest fantasy series I know of if not the greatest, Zelaznys death was such a loss.
Anxiously awaiting Evans next book (I actually voiced my dislike of one one of her characters here and she responded) as well as Sandersons continuation of Allomancy of The Law/Mistborn.

Excellent. I just picked this book up from the library. I know Sanderson wants this to be his Wheel of Time, but there has to a muzzle put on him at times. Tell a story; don't narrate the passing of time. That's more of what I want. |

| Reading Ghost Story right now, perhaps my least favorite of the Dresden Files books. After that is Cold Days, and then I'm done with the Dresden Files until Skin Game comes out next month -- a book I will run to the bookstore to buy, on my lunch break. |

I know alot of people didn't like Ghost Story, but it was such a change, and a nice breathe in the series that I came away highly enjoying the book.
That said, I'm currently reading The Sentinel. All these Sundering novels just make me wish to see when the next campaign setting is coming out! Lore!!! |

I don't dislike the book; it's just a low point in the series... Though it gets better at the end. The reveal of the details behind the murder floored me, the first time I read it! |

I'll admit it was just nice to also read a Dresden novel where Harry wasn't concussed. :D
Speaking of, I just finished 'League of Denial' and 'The Sentinel.'
Next up is Sanderson's book two of Way of Kings, or whatever the title is.  |
