This does not really belong here... But has Venger ever been in anything but the cartoon? I mean old source books and novels. And also.. Just what seting is the cartoon in?

The setting was in an unspecified world, I believe, though the characters later appeared in a one-shot Forgotten Realms comic called either The Grand Tour or A Grand Tour of the Realms (I'm at work, so I can't check my copy). The story was lame and the artwork lousy, but it did have the FR imprint on it...

As for Venger, I think he is a cartoon-only creation.

But also there is the show called something of tardos and it has them going to a place called the dust lands (Such as in greyhawk). Also strong heart and a few others are on it. This could point to it being greyhawk. How did they get in the realms? I dont know. Maybe they were there all along. Maybe they spelljammed?

I don't recall enough of the show to know, either way. That was a long time ago...

The comic doesn't really say how they got to the Realms or how long they'd been there.

In the mid-80's I was in a local hobby shop flipping through a TSR supplement which actually had stats for Venger. Anyone know the name of this product? And the cartoon was probably Greyhawk given the time period but the poorly drawn FR comic did feature Presto. The kids could of ended up there through portals.

I hope Candlekeep continues to be the friendly forum of fellow Realms-lovers that it has always been, as we all go through this together. If you don’t want to move to the “new” Realms, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with either you or the “old” Realms. Goodness knows Candlekeep, and the hearts of its scribes, are both big enough to accommodate both. If we want them to be.
(Strikes dramatic pose, raises sword to gleam in the sunset, and hopes breeches won’t fall down.)
Enough for now. The Realms lives! I have spoken! Ale and light wines half price, served by a smiling Storm Silverhand fetchingly clad in thigh-high boots and naught else! Ahem . .
So saith Ed. <snip>
love to all,
