A further build off the battlemage accoutrements. I'm thinking another possible build is a feat that allows the character to improve how he uses his shield spell (maybe gives better shield bonus, ability to shield punch 1/round as if it had a shield spike, and maybe something similiar to fortification by making 2 smaller shields instead of one big one)... of course, this might just be better as a higher level spell rather than a feat. Robed tank though I think makes a good feat.

Robed Tank (metamagic)
Many arcane casters tend towards magics that would enhance their ability scores or their personal offense or defense capabilities. This feat represents a better understanding of such magics and thus an improvement upon their capabilities
Prerequisites: Battlemage Accoutrements feat, arcane caster level 5th, Base attack Bonus +7
Benefits: any spell cast by the character that gives an armor or enhancement bonus to AC, attacks, damage, or an ability score is increased by an additional +1, even if this places it beyond the normal bounds of the spell (thus, a weapon with greater magic weapon on it could theoretically become +6). This is only for spells cast by the character, not spells cast from items.
Normal: spells work as written
Special: This feat may be taken as if it were a “fighter” feat for any class or prestige class that advances in arcane caster levels and gives “fighter” feats.

Alavairthae, may your skill prevail

I think that that is a little too powerful of a spell. Perhaps give more stringent prerequisites or give the spell less powerful benefits.

Goblins? *Slash* *Scream* *Thunk* What goblins?
