I don't know, you're the person who finds those things out!
I just compile the lists from books you may not buy.

Fine, I'll go find out. Can I throw a snide comment in once I answer?

I was going to buy the tome you are referring too. But, these events of the past few days have left me so traumatized, I just can't do it now. My potential Eberron experience has been ruined. I hope some people can sleep at night knowing this.

Back in a bit with a date. I wish I could find a list of artists they are using as well.

Monster Manual III (Revenge of the Boneclaw) comes out in September.

Will you have any fifty-dollar bills lying around then that I can borrow?

Revenge of the Boneclaw? Is that it's actual title?

I might-I'll have to see how much I read by then.

I have no problem with such.

hmmm so around 1/4 of MM3 will be creatures specfic to Eberron...... Well there better be at least 1/4 of MM3 devoted to FR creatures!

I don't think those creatures are Eberron specific-they were listed for compatibility reasons, actually. I believe there will be at least one Eberron specific creature(the Aundair battlehawk comes to mind), but it's from the Core line, not the Eberron line. Although I wouldn't mind some more Eberron creatures-more quori would be quite nice, or some more inspired.

I was just thinking about the same thing. I'd like to see more specific details about the quori, so that would be nice. Of course, more Daelkyr variants and source material wouldn't go astray either.

I read two creatures that were specifically PS-based. Although, I assume their inclusion in this monster book is because the Planar Handbook hits the shelves two months before the proposed release date for MMIII.

Hmmm, Wood Woad.

I wonder if it's the same as the Wood Wode that first appeared in the 2nd ed Realms adventure "Doom of Daggerdale*"?

Anyone know?

* or it could have been "Doom of Daggerfalls"

Thank you for that link Sirius! Some very excellent artwork here.
Armand looks like an interesting monstrous race easily converted to a playable race I hope
New set of Giants! Look out!
New Golems look very interesting.
Lots more very cool monster races that look like they could be made player races
Looks like quite a few new planar monsters and races. Sage will be happy Me as well
New Troll races! I knew there were more races of Troll! Still haven't seen Scrags or Island Trolls detailed yet though...
A few new woodland races, not as many as I would like to see but still at least there are a few!

Needless to say I will be purchasing this tome as soon as its available!

Kahonen, the Wizards site has some info on the nefarious Wood Woad. It's actually quite a nice monster, with some unique-ish tweaks.

Thanks for that. It appears to be a different creature.

The Grisgol

looks like a nice new beasty. I'll have to look at converting that back to 2nd Edition.

How on earth can a player use a Dracotaur

as a character when it has +8 Strength, +2 Dexterity, +4 Constitution, +2 Intelligence and +2 Charisma?

Actually, I rather enjoyed MMII. What with it being chock-full of updated 2e PS critters and all...
