At the end of season 11 of Supernatural the sun starts to dim while Amara (Darkness) wins the day. (Screenie: https://bit.ly/2yYUSVc) I like the idea. Gamewise you could create rules that reflect the Coming of Darkness, like... * Make undead stronger or harder to turn * Fewer spells for clerics * Paladin lay on hands defunct * Appearance of shadowry monsters etc. You can also use a time factor. Let's say 30 days before Darkness takes over. The more time PCs need to win the adventure, the harder it gets while Darkness gains more power. Obvious choices in the Battle Darkness vs. Light could be Shar vs Lathander/Amaunator or Tharizdun vs All
