I had an idea, to randomly drop a character into the Realms and see how hard it would be to survive Dwarf Fortress style. Liberal use of random encounter tables would feature.
Is there a better or more thorough list anywhere of Faerunian locations and sublocations than just the Wikipedia page?
Additionally how thorough is this list of Faerunian random encounter tables? http://www.realmshelps.net/adventuring/faerun_encounters.shtml

| For encounter tables look to old products. Elminster's Ecologies is a good place to start. |

I forget which product it was- it was a 3e era product obviously- that came with a decently sized encounter table booklet. Might've been Monsters of Faerun or the FRCS (though, thinking about it, I don't remember those books having tear-out secondary booklets in them).

That's correct. It's listed right here on Amazon. I haven't seen the pdf on the DM's Guild yet. |
