The shaman is a practitioner of mystic spiritualism that communes with spirits to acquire enlightenment and guidance. They serve as bridges between the living world and the world of spirits.
Partnered with a companion spirit through a special soul contract, shaman and spirit evolve together as a combined force of supernatural might.
Archetypes include:
Spirit of the Ancient Dragon: The shaman communes with the spirit of a mighty dragon, gaining powerful draconic abilities in the process.
Spirit of the Fallen Hero: The shaman communes with the spirit of a legendary warrior, using the spirit's martial techniques to forge a new legend on the battlefield.
Spirit of the Magister: The shaman communes with the spirit of an archmage wizard, learning secrets of the arcane from one of the greatest practitioners of the Art.
Spirit of the Noble Beast: The shaman communes with the spirit of a sage beast, becoming a formidable master of animals.
