I've been a fan of the Realms ever since picking up Elminster: The Making of a Mage in my local public library many, many years ago. I've read quite a few of the novels, and DM'd the realms since 3rd Edition was released.
I'm giving up my lurker status here as I am trying to develop a campaign outside the better defined regions, and am hoping to find some more information here. While I'm here, I hope to make myself at home and join in other discussions.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
