I have read a lot of Forgotten Realms novels and have found some involving druids such as The Moonshea Trilogy. I am curious if anyone out there knows of anymore involving druids ( hoping for more then just a small part in a book) and if there are any plans with more novels involving them coming out?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Well you could continue with the Druidhome Trilogy. Other options would be the Cleric Quintet, though technically those feature a "doo-dad' and not a druid. IIRC The Emerald Scepter has a druid character as well.

Druidhome continues the Moonshae story about 20 years later if I remember correctly. Enjoy!

Also, try the Rose of Sarifal. It is the 4e return to the Moonshae Isles, to update us all on new developments. Never read it, but it seems like a good novel. Also, Sentinelspire focuses on an epic level druid taking on a band of assassins, so that might show you some high level druid powers put to use in battle.

You could also try 'Red Wizards' - one of the Harper series. It features a Druid as one of the two main heroes.

The more I read about 4FR, the more depressed I am.

The Emerald Enclave features quite prominently in The Reaver, one of the recent Sundering novels (it's very good).

Personally, I really disliked this novel, and am ignoring it as far as canon is concerned. Also, IIRC druids don't feature in it (if at all).

You are the third person I've seen who has had bad things to say about this novel. Makes me apprehensive to read it. What was so bad about it?

There was one novel in the Cities series, I believe it was called "The Jewel of Turmish", it dealt with the Emerald Enclave and the church of Eldath.

Have a look at this scroll:

It contains numerous spoilers, so I won't quote it here. Suffice to say that this novel doesn't read like a Realms novel, ends abruptly, and a lot of it conflicts profoundly with other Realms canon.

Ugh, curious why WoTC would publish a book contradicting canon like that.

That's a very good question. As far as FR canon & history are concerned, I am ignoring it, and developing my own version more in keeping with established canon (i.e. not frakkin' insane).

So Rose of Sarifal would be better to avoid?

It's been a while since I read it (no desire to re-read!), but from what I recall there is very little mention of druids. So quite apart from the demerits of the story & writing, I think it's not what you're looking for anyway.

Other books already mentioned in this scroll (e.g. the Druidhome trilogy) are good though.
