THE REAVER: THE SUNDERING BOOK IV drops today.

Any book release is a big deal for the author. My books don’t always come out in hardcover, so for that and other reasons, this one is particularly big deal for me.

Wish me luck and the willpower to refrain from checking the sales ranks on Amazon and Barnes & Noble every five minutes.

And if you care to exert a benign influence on those sales ranks you can do that here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EGMB6BU/ref=s9_simh_gw_p351_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1AEKHHJJH4JY5QDXYZ1A&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1630083502&pf_rd_i=507846

If anyone is having difficulty getting THE REAVER: THE SUNDERING BOOK IV from Amazon, so far as I'm aware, there is no difficulty with getting it from Barnes & Noble.

Disappointed that THE REAVER: THE SUNDERING BOOK IV is "Temporarily Out of Stock" at Amazon? (I'm not too thrilled about it myself.) You can use this link to find an indie bookstore that has it in stock.

I've posted other links to help those who are interested buy THE REAVER: THE SUNDERING BOOK IV. Seems only right that I should post the Books-a-Million link as well.

My Dead God Trilogy (set in the Scarred Lands universe) has been out of print for a while, but I've just discovered that Onyx Path Publishing#65279; has made the books available again at DriveThruRPG.com#65279;. I thoroughly enjoyed writing these and liked the way they came out. So if you enjoy my sword-and-sorcery stories, take a look. The tiles are FORSAKEN, FORSWORN, and FORBIDDEN.

Actually having to jump through hoops to get your books is nothing new. Your fans are lucky to get Spectral Blaze for under $50 from anywhere. The average is about $80. I initially thought you must sign every book, or there was a leather bound addition I missed. Prophet of the Dead is actually still on some Barnes and Noble shelves. It’s kind of a hard sell if one book out of a current series is an egg hunt.
I picked up The Enemy Within (a warhammer endeavor of yours) for $40.
I don’t know what the particulars are in the contracts of successful authors, but if there were a clause that allowed you to vanity print a second edition, and pocket the profit, when the publisher refuses to reprint, you would be reading this from a not so tiny island somewhere.

More pressing; Is there going to be an Audio Book release of The Reaver?

Hi, Thrasymachus. You sure know how to depress an author!

Seriously, I do know that my books can be hard to find, and I wish I could use the tactic you suggest. Unfortunately, it's not possible with books set in a franchise universe.

I have republished some of my old short fiction into eBook collections you can find on Amazon, and, working with my agent, I've republished one of my early horror novels. There are two more of those we will republish when we get around to it.

There already is an audiobook of THE REAVER. You can find it on Amazon, Audible.com, or iTunes. (Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million, too, I think.)

I see it now through a search via iTunes. Thank you very much!

But heads up, looking for The Reaver via the Wizards site.
When you pull up the subcategory “audiobooks”
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/Catalog.aspx?category=novels&subcategory=audiobook
The Reaver audiobook isn’t there. In fact none of the Sundering Audiobook versions are there.

When you pull up the Reaver specifically…
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/Product.aspx?x=dnd/products/frnovel/reaver
There’s listings for Kindle, Kobo, Nook & Reader, but no audiobook. This is also true of all the Sundering novels.
Usually there is also a link called “audio” to get to the Audiobooks.
Example…
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/Product.aspx?x=dnd/products/frnovel/prophetdeadaudio

Maybe Salvatore, Greenwood and yourself might consider going in on a bribe of Peanut M&M’s to Wizards web design team. Maybe just smite them with a Wand of Orcus.
Honest, my intention isn’t to drive you to a hemp rope, and kickaway chair. Here’s the sunshine. Let me tell you that this fan already has all the available Sundering Hardcover, and now get’s to go buy all the Sundering Audiobooks.
I am a little selective in my Realms novel purchases. But every time you get involved in one of your Group Effort series (WotSQ, and now the Sundering) I automatically have to go buy the other authors contributions. FWIW next time you’re playing poker with Bob & Ed, you can tell them Thrasy says that you’re carrying these guys. ;-)
Also, my homebrew plot necessitated my purchasing 4 copies of the Captive Flame for the players. They love it.

Thanks for the tip about the audiobooks. Next time I communicate with WotC, I'll mention it.

Thanks for all your support. Buying multiple copies of CAPTIVE FLAME is above and beyond the call of duty. Glad your players like it.

Hi, Richard. I'm now reading The Reaver, and I just want to say I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing. And I suspect by the time I finish, Umara will become one of my favorite FR characters.

Every beginning has an end.

Hi Richard. I've rolled a new quest tonight. I would like to have all The Sundering series autographed for my personnal collection (about 220+ FR books).

For The Reaver, is there a way i can order one autographed and pay via paypal ?

No, but you can buy a copy from a bookstore and then either:

1. Catch me at a convention for a signature.

2. Mail me the book with return packaging and postage so I can sign it and mail it back to you.

Do you want to do either of those things?

The second option. Conventions in Canada are really far from me (the nearer is Toronto at 9h of road from here). I live in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

May i ask is there a reason that i can't buy directly from you ?

Thanks for your quick response !

You can't buy directly from me because I didn't buy a bunch of copies of the book to sell through the mail. Some authors operate that way, but I don't.

As far as the second option goes, email me at rleebyers@mac.com and we can work out the details.
