There is a pretty good Backdrop: Westgate article in Dragon Magazine 428 by Erik Scott de Bie!
BACKDROP: WESTGATE By Erik Scott de Bie The city of Westgate is brimming with opportunity—for those who can handle the risk.

I didn't have any problems downloading the actual article... but my account automatically signed out twice when I clicked on the download icon in two prior download attempts. On the third try, however, it began and then completed the article download without an issue. |

why is being a wizard like being a drow? both are likely to find a dagger in the back from a rival or one looking to further his own goals, fame and power

I will of course answer any questions.
@Wooly: I thought you'd appreciate that one. It's based on a real conversation I had with said individual.
Also, fun fact, the cover image for Dungeon is of the bridge over the River Thunn, which splits the two segments of Westgate (the city proper and the Shou-dominated East End). You can clearly see the architectural variation.
Cheers
