Hi, I'm new to the forum. While I am not a FR follower, it happens that I have to read part of one of the novels out loud and I can't figure out how to pronounce "Finder." There are guides online, but they say, FIND-er, which is not clear, as it could be a short i, as in "ih" or a long one, as in sounds like "eye." Could you all help me? Is it a short or a long "i"? That is, does it rhyme with "hinder" as in to slow someone down, or "binder" as in the thing you put papers in?
Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! That's what I was guessing, but I figured best to go to the authorities on the subject. |

I like to throw in different pronunciations for things like this in my Realms.
Thus, I tend to shift between "FIND-er" and "FIN-der" when and where appropriate. |

The great thing about reading is that you can pronounce it however sounds best for you in your mind. For this one I always read it as "Fin-der."

And Jeff and Kate, the creators of Finder, always pronounce it "FINE-dur." As does Ed. love, THO |
