I am trying to make a short adventure for my players on the nether mountains and I have a question about how high they are.
How high is the highest peak of the nether mountains?
How low is the lowest peak of the nether mountains?
Specifically the heroes will try to reach the #8220;ladypeak#8221; and explore the ruins of the #8220;lady`s hand#8221; monastery. Where can I find more information about them? All I have so far is that it¢s a loviatar monastery, attacked by a blue dragon Idrizraele for its magic and later destroyed by her sons.

I would look through Netheril: Empire of Magic, FR5: Savage Frontiers, The North (boxset), and Volo's Guide to the North - although the Nether Mountains are mentioned therein several times I cannot recall any of the specifics you're asking about being described. Other Realms guides and sourcebooks might describe the Nethers in some detail, but again I cannot recall them being detailed.
I suspect this data just isn't available, being described only as a generic mountain range with some "very high" peaks. I personally imagine them resembling our Rocky Mountain range, but then again I personally think of Neverwinter and Waterdeep as being analogues of our Vancouver and Seattle.
Ed might have generated some fascinating details about these mountains, it's worth asking. Otherwise, there's little to be found about these mountains outside of the maps, adventures, and possibly some novels. |

| The other place to check is the Fonstat version of the Forgotton Realms Atlas. She did a cross-section of Toril and you might be able to make a guesstimate comparing the Netheril Mountains to the other mountains labeled in that drawing. |
