Good news for any fan wanting to see more of this genre hit the screen!

I SO cannot wait for this: I have to say, though; my primary concern is that (and I feel like an ass saying this) GRRM won't survive to finish the series.

Bloody w00t!

"Sopranos with swords" is how they describe it, eh? Sounds about right.

Cheers

Hey, that's normally my line.

I'll second Erik's grand commentary, however. Having just recently read through some of the books in the GoT series [and the older game books for that matter], I'm kinda keen on the idea of seeing what this series will be like.

Well, the last time I saw him (which was a couple years ago, when Feast for Crows came out) he seemed pretty spry. And he's only 61 going on 62, so IMO the odds are good.

That kind of project helps you live longer, too, so there's that.

Cheers

It's good to hear you say that, Erik; I had heard exactly the opposite about his health. And, to be clear, finishing a series of books isn't the only reason I'd love to see him get another healthy 60 years.

Oh totally. I want him to live as long as he likes, and (of course) to give us as many books as possible!

Cheers

That Promo image of Will Snow surveying the corpses on the frozen ground really hit it home that this is happening.

10 episodes(including the pilot) and supposedly the budget is $4.5 million per episode, and rumors of matching funds and such this from the local gov't...it should be great!

And a sidenote stated A Dance With Dragons is up another 50 or 60 pages to 1311...and is not done yet!

So long live GRR, Lord knows he needs all the time he can get!
