Why are the people of Turmish such an ethnic isolate? None of the other ethnicities surrounding them (in the Reach or Sea of Fallen Stars) look remotely close to them. Where did they come from? Is there a history to them at all? |

The Turami are native to the Mulhorand, Unther, Chessenta region. They were pushed out of Unther and Chessenta by the Mulan and formed part of the eastern half of Jhaamdath until shortly after the fall of that empire when they moved to Turmish and claimed it for themselves.
Thats the official history, i took it one step further and made the Turami part of the original humans of Faerun that were enslaved by the sarrukh and taken with them as they migrated throughout western Faerun. So the Talfir, the Turami, and the original humans in Chult are all related (at least in my version anyway) |
