I'm not sure what this is but chech if you have some time:

http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/baldursgate2/index.shtml

http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/baldursgate1/cheats_addons.shtml

Check all pages on that site about BGs'...

That would be excellent

My broadband is getting switched off in a matter of hours (what an excuse, eh?) but I will ask some other modding types if they can put it up somewhere, and if so I'll PM you the link. :)

I click on the link and it takes me to a page that says "the page is not avaliable" Is there anyway you can download it and host it someplace for me to download it off that? Like by using yousendit.com or something? My apologies for asking so much, if there is anything from the realms you request as payment, I will see what I have or if I can find it. My thanks

Yep.
Dracandos the Spellsage Posted - 31 May 2005 : 17:51:08
Does the link work for you?
Andyr Posted - 31 May 2005 : 01:35:54
Oh, hmm... I'm not sure what to suggest then. I'll put my thinking cap on.

The links dont work for me. Nothing happens when I click on them

I *think* it is the J2SE v 1.4.2_08 SDK but I am not entirely sure (has been a while).

Which thing on that download page, theres a bunch of things to download and I don't know what any of them are
Andyr Posted - 25 May 2005 : 18:09:44
Oh, yes - you need this: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

General info is listed on this page... http://www.idi.ntnu.no/~joh/ni/download.html If you're using a Mac you'll need something else, though I've not used a Mac so don't really know about that.

Thats the problem though. My computer doesnt have whatever java program I need to open the nearinfinity.jar program. Double clicking on it just brings up that window that lists all the programs on your computer so you can choose what to open it with becasue it doesnt know what to open it with. Do you know what Im talking about? Do I need some java script or something?

The site used to have a link to the Java stuff you needed. As for what to open it with, you should just be able to double-click on it (the downloadable nearinfinity.jar file) and it runs itself.

I think I was a bit unclear about DLTCEP - I meant check that the .ITM files you are trying to edit are not marked as read-only, rather than the DLTCEP program itself.

Nope, DLTCEP isnt set at read only. And i dont have anything else running. I've talked to Sage about this and he had the same problem. I guess my best bet would be infinity but I need a java program to run it.

Near Infinity needs some Java runtimes; instructions are on the site. I think your computer will think it is an archive of something but you don't need to Unzip it, just run it as it is.

As for DLTCEP, I am not sure as I don't use that tool (I prefer NI and IEEP). Try checking the properties of the file to make sure it's not set as read-only is all I can suggest. Oh, and make sure you're not editing with the game running as that will cause problems if you change and text. :)

What do I need to run near infinity? Because it isnt recognized on my computer.

I have tried DLTCEP but when I try to edit an item (or anything else for that matter) then try to save it, it says "you openeed it read only" and it doesnt work. Any ideas? Thanks

The best ones are either NearInfinity from http://www.idi.ntnu.no/~joh/ni/ or DLTCEP from http://www.dragonlancetc.com .

If you want to distribute your creations then I'd recommend getting WeiDU from http://www.WeidU.org too. Hope this helps! :)
