First: awesome username.
Second: great call on that tome. Fantastic tome indeed.
Best regards,

In those there are rules about spellfire.
In 5th edition I would probably use the Warlock class to describe an Spellfire wielder.

Posted - 26 Jun 2019 : 13:01:47 get creative - why not have "spellplague-fire" :P - a combination of both caused by the conjunction of a spellfire wielder and a spellscar |

Posted - 21 Jun 2019 : 19:48:41 It does still exist, and it co-exist with the Spellplague. In fact, they seems to be the same thing seen from different sides of the coin. The Spellplague is just more darker in tone, and more virulent in its effects, but the two have the same kind of power.
During the years when Mystra was "dead", the Spellfire survived the destruction of the Weave by being stored within some powerful individuals. The one who had the most Spellfire within herself was the Simbul (that's why she went nuts in the end), but other Chosen of Mystra, such as Elminster, Laeral, Larloch or Manshoon, also had a lot of Spellfire within themselves.
After the Second Sundering and Mystra's return, the Spellfire returned to normal. And yes, it still co-exist with the Spellplague. |
