What options, on the player side, have been converted to 5e? Does anybody have an index or anything?

I'd be quite interested in a large section that's all FR-Specific Backgrounds, complete with Proficiencies, Equipment, Feature, Characteristics, (Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws would also be nice, but less required).

Like Uthgardt Tribe Member, but for other stuff. (I know your first book has 5. I would love to have more of them).

A bigass book of Organization Profiles (with territory maps ideally) would also be amazing.

I look forward to release #2

Thanks Sylrae. I'll see what I can come up with for backgrounds. You might also check out Adventurer's League freebies. They've put out a dozen-ish backgrounds for the Moonsea.

Purchased.

I saw some minor grammatical errors in a couple places, but all in all it looks good.

Me too on the grimoire. I thought it was, to use the parlance of the 5E designers, elegant design.

Thanks Tom. I love that true grimoire.

See, I'd love to see something more along the lines of what we received with the Dread Necromancer of 3.5 or even a Necromancer similar to the Diablo II (or III) version. Bone walls, raised skeletons, ghost/spirit spells, exploding minions, etc.

Not a huge undead as player fan, but I think your subclass is pretty solid. Nice job. I'd tweak a couple things, but I'll add a comment to the page.

Thank you very much for the feedback!

A non-specialist wizard, Tom, as are most wizards in the Realms?

If you're looking for class options, you might want to thumb through my complete red book of spell strategy. Its Pay what you want but has a lot of options, so you can't go wrong on price. Pick and choose what you like or don't like.

I will note, there are some folks out there who made more complete conversions of some of what I did (such as spirit shamans), but most of mine are very realms oriented (particularly the Unapproachable east).

I'd love to see an actual Necromancer class that wasn't just more dark wizard tropes that we got with the tradition wizard. Its soo....bleh.

And despite all the hate Vampires got in 4e (and in general) I actually really liked the Vampire class in 4e. I made this up a long while ago but never.had the opportunity to try it. Blood Knight but its probably broken lol.
TomCosta Posted - 11 Jul 2017 : 00:35:05
Oh, genasi (the four core elements, not stormsoul from 4E, though I converted them) and goliath are in the free Players Guide to Elemental Evil (free reprint of the player stuff in Princes of the Apocalypse). Volos' Guide to Monsters, despite its name has little FR-specific lore, but it does have stats for several player races.

Finally, I'm working on Forgotten Characters II, so if anyone has any requests, I'm happy to consider them.

Thanks Diffan. That means a lot. If you find anything that doesn't work, please let me know I'll try to fix it. I'm always looking to improve. FYI, I just posted version 1.2 with some minor updates.

^^ Bought this sight unseen. Great work for sprucing up your 5e-Realms games with more Realslore-based mechanics. For fun I converted my long-standing character from 3e to 4e and now to 5e. He's pretty awesome with the Righteousness Domain for the Cleric. I love the addition of Smites to their spell-list and pesudo-Paladin feel.

Yeah, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide is thus far the 5E version of FR Campaign Guides
Diffan Posted - 10 Jul 2017 : 21:26:02
The FR-specific stuff is in the Sword Coast Adventure Guide.

Arcane Domain (cleric's of Mystra, Azuth, Velsharoon, etc)
Battlerager (dwarf barbarian)
Bladesinger (elf wizard)
Purple Dragon Knight (fighter)
Sun Soul discipline (Monk)
Dark Moon Monk I meant the Long Death Discipline (monk)
Oath of the Crown (paladin)
Mastermind (rogue)
Swashbuckler (rogue) < and a fun one too!
Storm Sorcery (sorcerer)
The Undying - other worldly patron (Warlock)
