Posted - 03 Jan 2016 : 09:52:24 Had an interesting revelation when looking at the NPC bad guys in the "Rise of Tiamat" adventure - they don't tell you what class/level they are! Wow. They just stat them out for combat purposes. Kind of makes it hard to change/adapt them if you aren't a mechanics guru able to reverse engineer their abilities. Is that how all the current 5E adventures present NPC (i.e. class level) bad guys?

Posted - 03 Jan 2016 : 14:17:22 Yeah, they did the same thing in 4e, I think it sucks. You can't do an apples to apples comparison with your characters, and can't imho slowly raise there toughness as easily as you progress through a campaign against them.
