He's taken the time to share with his fans what he has learned about the reason for the "phantom stroke" he suffered earlier this year.
Truly a sad day for us all!

There's also the Washington Post's recent interview with Terry Pratchett. It offers some interesting details, mostly having to do with Terry's early experiences with Alzheimer's disease. |

Posted - 14 Dec 2007 : 08:49:35 I hope that Terry won’t loose his good faith.
Unfortunately this is – in the late stages at least - more a trauma to the people around than to the actual sick person. So my best wishes are not only are for this great author but to all his family and friends also. |

Posted - 12 Dec 2007 : 20:36:02 I likewise have had family members suffer from Altzheimers. However the medications available have improved in the last few years. Positive Best Wishes to Terry Pratchet. |

Posted - 12 Dec 2007 : 18:38:35 While the news is geniunly saddening, remember what Terry himself said about keeping positive. They've caught it early. No one knows how much time any of us have - and it's no different with Terry.
Alzheimers has been through my family multiple times in the past couple of years and the one thing I learned was to really enjoy whatever time you have left with someone who has it. I say we do the same thing in this case. |
