Just a quick question, when did the events in the twilight giant series take place?

Was just wondering, cause wouldn't Kaedlaw be reaching maturity now? According to the story he was "freed" of his destiny, but that is subjective, and he is still free to choose his course. Which still includes the chance to restore the giant empire.

I mean, at the least, he still has the support of Lanxis(who as the twilight spirit has the support of the other giants theoreticly)... would the other giant tribes follow him should he issue a call? Also, would the giantkin follow him as well(since his father..well one of his fathers, is a firblog)?

Anyone else have thoughts about this?

Its been a few years since I read the last book in this series, but as far as I remember the trilogy took place in 1366 or '67, so it will be quite a few years before he reaches an age where he will form a life on his own. I think it will be very difficult to get the giants to follow him with the previous failure of Lanix and his half-human blood. Their belief in the prophesy will have to be restored before the giants will follow a "runt"
