Well met

I'd just like to inform all my fellow scribes that I will be departing Candlekeep and venturing beyond the library gates for a period of two weeks, as from the morrow, to explore the land of the Pharoahs.

Whoah! Not so hasty, wheel that keg of ale back into the Inn!! Remember, The Sage, Wooly Rupert and Kuje are at hand to help with most aspects of these forums. Any administration requests will unfortunately have to wait until my return. Malarick will be taking care of this months Book Club and MuadDib, Arivia and Melfius will be happily serving thee within the Candlekeep Inn.

If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

What, do you prefer to read it? Or was that a doppelganger wearing your form I saw in the "Waterdhavian bodice-rippers" section? [Sorry, can't remember the correct term from Silverfall.]

Well, that depends upon how you define order. Hehe...

What I do know is that the Furry Hamster didn't cause too much mischief... although, the few times he was gone I noted also the absence of a certain Lady Herald...

I'll leave you to rattle that around in your brain-box... .

Outstanding, Sage, outstanding. I'm still very much in awe of what I have seen and learnt from those lands

Dargoth, for shame! There's no need at all for such barbarity!
I'll simply glue his fur down with my tongue.
Mmm, all that licking . . .
Of course, Wooly, you may need to flog me a time or two, to spur me on if I grow weary.
love,
THO

Alaundo Posted - 12 Jan 2006 : 22:33:59
Thank ye all, i'll be sure to make the most of it.

Aye. We will be watching.

I'll personally make sure that the Lady Hooded One is watched at all times!

Have a good time, Big Al.
Chosen of Moradin Posted - 12 Jan 2006 : 15:51:41
Good journey, Alaundo!
That the light of Moradin shine in your way.
And stay easy. We, here at the keep, will take care of all scrolls, tomes and chapbooks.
And anyone that mess with the books will be punished, being whipped by the Lady Hooded One...

Hmm...

I think that this will not be exactly a punishment, then...

Humpf. The dwarvish old habits are being forgotten...

Chosen of Moradin

Well met

And just ensure that no ale is spilt on the scrolls herein, Steven, else there will be hell to pay

Thank ye, Sage. The reasons for my visit are the same. The ancient civilisation and architecture has interested me for many years.

I'll also have the opportunity to be reading up on some Realmslore too so will be sure to take a bundle of novels for the journey Sadly, Son of Thunder didn't appear in time
The Sage Posted - 12 Jan 2006 : 14:07:05
I hope you enjoy Egypt Big Al... The Lady K and I had a remarkable time on the Nile four years ago when we had the opportunity to visit the ancient land. I was there mainly for historical purposes and because my interest in archaeology knows no bounds, while the Lady K was visiting a relative who now lives in Egypt. But regardless of your own reasons for being there, I know you will find it a thoroughly rewarding experience.

And we expect some great stories when you get back!

Well, I'm jealous now. Egypt's always been a place I've wanted to visit but never had the time, the coin, nor the reasons. Enjoy yourself. We'll try to have all the beer cans picked up by the time you get back.
