I am not sure if I already posted this on here, if not here y'all go. Tell me what y'all think.

‘Twas the eve of a massacre, and all through the dark
The Drow were all plotting, Menzoberranzan their mark.
The armor and swords were all polished with care
In the hopes they would catch the Drow city all unawares.

The dark elves of Chaulssin were all rested and fed
While thoughts of dead Priestesses danced in their heads.
Radu in his chainmail and Lord Drak’ul with his mask
Were more than ready and able to take on this task.

While in House Baenre, the Council schemed and waited.
Matron Triel was nervous and unsure what was fated.
The Spider Queen had gone silent, the city open to attack,
Menzoberranzan had many enemies, with revenge to exact.

On the hour of battle, with no power to fight.
Many of Lloth’s Children were ready for flight.
As one came Chaulssin’s army, with Drak’ul at their head.
The Menzoberranzyr ran screaming and many fell dead.

The battle raged on, Menzoberranzan nearly won.
When out of nowhere shouted Drak’ul’s only son,
“Now Dragon Riders, now Nightwalkers, now soldiers alike!
Bring me the Baenre bitch Triel’s head on a pike!”

As each of his minions rushed to obey,
The former First Matron jumped into the fray.
Her snake-headed whip lashed and hissed,
The look in her eyes told all that she was pissed.

As trees in the forest, many soldiers soon fell dead at her feet
As the First Matron Mother would not admit defeat.
But then through the battle, came Drak’ul and his lot.
And he cut off Triel’s head without even a thought.

Holding the gory trophy for all to see,
The Patron of Chaulssin gloated over his victory.
The battle for Menzoberranzan was now fought,
The glory of Lloth’s Clergy was all for naught.

And so the City of Spiders came under Drak’ul’s rule.
No longer will all males be played for a fool.
This tale is a warning, for all to take care.
Or they may find themselves under Vhaeraun’s stare.

Again, sorry for the necromancy, but I wanted to post this tidbit that is quite a few years too late. I hope everyone enjoys this new one.

Sing to the tune of Silver Bells
As requested (although a few years late)

Silver Blades

Lolthite Matrons, bazaar patrons
Dressed in highest drow style
In the air
There's a feeling
of terror.
Drow are laughing
Slaves are passing
Meeting scowl after glare
During war this is all that you'll hear.

Ringing blades, silvered blades
It's time to raid Lolthite cities
Metal rings, hear it sing
Soon it will be total triumph

Strings of fairie light
Even candle light
Light up the bloody streets
As the armies rush
to fight their enemies

Hear their bones break
and their lives we take
This is Vhaeraun's big scene
And above the dying screams
You'll hear

Silvered blades, sharpened blades
It's time to destroy Lolth's cities
Metal rings, hear it sing
Victory is ours from today.

Actually the character gets that a lot.

Misery: "... its an exaggerated rumor."
Markustay Posted - 23 Nov 2008 : 23:10:06
I just have to ask -

Do you love company?

Sorry mods... I just had to go there.

I'll get the switch and be awaiting THO's tender mercies with hiney exposed.
Misery Posted - 23 Nov 2008 : 14:13:14
Well thats just weird. I did one based off the same "carol" back in december of 06. And here I thought I was original and funny O_O Just can't have an idea anymore these days without someone having done it first T_T

I should say you did a very good job in your rhyme. I'm impressed.
Hawkins Posted - 13 Oct 2008 : 17:29:57
Lol. That reminds me of the Lovecraft-ian themed "solstice" carols and musical using the music from "Fiddler on the Roof."

Nice...
Drakul Posted - 13 Oct 2008 : 13:31:29
With Christmas season coming soon, I wonder how many people will be reciting this piece?? I have yet to come up with any other Realms-type Christmas stuff. I will try to get a few done before Christmas.
Drakul Posted - 17 Jan 2008 : 18:36:47
I know this is a little late, but I wonder if anyone read this to their Fams durin X-Mas. If y'all did, what reactions did you get??
Drakul Posted - 29 Dec 2006 : 23:31:10
LOL. Good stuff, good stuff. You didn't have that recorded by chance, did you??
LucianBarasu Posted - 28 Dec 2006 : 01:01:16
okay...update:

I actually memorized your carol...and I can tell you, my family didn't like it...especially when I was leading the sing along..but my friends...were rolling on the floor.
Never heard my uncle say "What in the 9 hells are you singing, boy?"
Drakul Posted - 27 Dec 2006 : 21:22:08
Thanx again, everyone for likin my Christmas Carol.
LucianBarasu Posted - 27 Nov 2006 : 09:11:36
HUZZAH! Nice carol as I will sneak outside and sing this if any carolers come knocking on my door. I will sneak around and drone them out with your trophy worthy carol.

*Dons his half mask, freshly painted red and green and jumps down the chimney into the basement.*

Awwww look! Drakul, Sylvanus79, and Kalin Agrivar are even making a tree to go along with the theme. Good job growing the originally posted Christmas tree, Sylvanus79. BTW, Kalin, I am going to go mad. They start the Christmas music next week. I will have 3 different stereos playing 3 different Christmas songs loudly at the same time. It is ok, though. I will just take my rage out on Sylvanus79 when I get home from work. :)

Maybe Drakul could then rewrite "How the Phaerimm Stole Christmas"

I eagerly await your next release, Drakul. Perhaps a new rendition of the famous "Jinglebells" entitled "Fireballs" or "We Three Chosen." Who knows, you may even be able to write one called "Here Comes Halaster" or "Jolly Old Elminster"!!!

Wanna help me Co-Write those??

PM me and I would love to!!! We'll have the Candlekeep Realms Christmas Carols!!! Maybe we'll even get in the next Compendium? {nudges the mighty Sages}

Two thumbs up. Now put it to music! That was about as imaginative as I've seen in a long time. Very well done!

Nothing beats a good carol. I give it a 9 for imagination, and a 10 for coolness. After all Vhaeraun rules!!!

I know your intent on this. Oh, my daughter is just like me, so there will be no therapy involved. LOL

I would hope not, think of all the therapy money you would have to dish out , I was thinking that you would be knowing my intent on this.
