Interesting. I'm with CG here; are you planning on fluff for your original creations?

One usually has far more to fear from the soft-spoken wizard with a blade and well-worn boots than from the boisterous one in the ivory tower.

Kathras
The Smiling Goddess, The Holy Redeemer,
Neutral Good Demigoddess
Portfolio: Mercy, forgiveness, redemption, and healing.
Domains: Healing, good, knowledge, and protection.
Favored Weapon: Net

Dogma:

There is good in all things waiting to be tapped and released, we are all good. Kathras awaits with open arms to accept anyone, regardless of what they have done, all can be forgiven, all can be redeemed. Forgive and provide mercy to all who shall accept it, an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. The greatest accomplishment is to redeem an evil thing or being to goodness. All things can be made whole, learn to heal the mind and body, and learn to preserve a state of health. Kathras guides the way to redemption from our sins against the true way of goodness, and shall deliver all from the taint of evil.

History and Relationships:

In life Kathras was a medicine woman and mystic, with no spellcasting powers (she was an Expert (Doctor/diplomat) not a cleric, who worshiped Ilmatar, and Eldath. She spent her life spreading the word of good, and attempting to turn evil to good through kindness rather than combat if possible. She was ultimately slain by an assassin in the service of the Church of Bane, but became a goddess after a few years as people began to worship her and Ilmatar elevated her. She now keeps her domain within the House of the Triad, but wanders the planes offering redemption to all. Her closest ally is Eldath, the two are often seen as sisterly companions. She has good relations with Hathor, Sharindlar, Shiallia, Lliira, Yondalla, Bahamut and Torm. Her greatest enemy is Gargauth, who she knows cannot be redeemed and must be destroyed or imprisoned. Hoar’s is all that she is not, but they do not openly oppose one another. She has little power to combat powerful gods but works as best she can against all evil gods especially against Bane, Loviatar, and Iyachtu Xvim.

Clergy and Temples: Temples of Kathras are functional places that serve as hospitals, schools of healing, orphanages, and the like as well. They are more often Chapels within Temples of Ilmatar, or Torm. Kathras holds a special place in her heart for snails and they are considered holy creatures. A chapel usually contains a pool or bowl of water with snails. Water is also a sacred purifying symbol, those who are redeemed are often baptized. Often over and over again, it is not unknown for clergy to purify themselves symbolically with water on a daily basis. Some believe this is also encouraged due to the health benefits of cleanliness. Her favored colours are pastel colours. Very often they will be home to acolytes, or lay worshipers of races usually considered unredeemable evil such as goblins, and kobolds.

Clerics do not automatically hold positions of authority or power. Commoners, experts, or members of any class are considered equals within the church hierarchy. Being able to heal naturally without divine aid is highly valued. The clergy educate people in medicine, tolerance, and preach of the virtues or benefits of goodness.

Rahb
Lawful Neutral Demigod
Portfolio: Duty, hard work, and obedience.
Domains: Law, protection, craft, and Tyranny.
Favored Weapon: Mace

Dogma:

All must fulfill their obligations. Without hard work life is hollow. We live to work. Only things we have worked to achieve, or have are of any value. You must work hard for the glory of yourself, through labor we find salvation and true happiness. Be not idle, and toil endlessly. It is our duty to obey our superiors, only through order do we find solace and peace. Do not step out of line, and conform to those around you. Do you not question your superiors. You must be one with your community and know in your place in it for the benefit of all.

History and Relationships:

Rahb is of unknown origin, likely a migrant deity. He serves Amaunatar with perfect loyalty, and obeys all his commands. He opposes all chaotic deities. His most hated foes are Toa and Gizh, and commands his faithful to destroy their followers whenever possible. He holds special contempt for Finder Wyvernspur, Cyric, Shaundakul, and Lliira. He opposes any god who promotes independence or change. He thoroughly believes and hopes that Amaunatar will become the head of the Faerunian pantheon with all the Gods subservient to him in a hierarchy, although Amaunatar does has no such aspirations. Aside from Laduguer he considers Laduguer and Isit. Bane might be alright, except for his opposition to Amaunatar’s supremecy – Rahb hopes to change Bane’s mind.

Clergy and Temples:

Temples of Rahb are joyless and barren. Clerics all dress in the same gray or black garb, colour or decorations are decadent and sinful luxuries. Clerics work to put down any rebellion, independent thought, or change within the communities where they work. They promote hard work for its own sake, and chastise any who are idle. Themselves spending long hours at labour, often for no purpose other than the work itself.

Fine work sir, fine work.

Lovin' the whole vibe going with Rahb there. It rather fits with my take on Amounator and the Triad; acutely dogmatic, ritualised and draconian.

Lattabah
Neutral Demigod
Portfolio: Dreams, clouds, and sleep.
Domains: Balance, knowledge, fate, and air.
Favored Weapon: Dart (with sleeping poison)

Dogma:

In the dreamworld, where Lattabah reigns, we are our true selves. In it we learn the truths of our reality through the stories he spins. Do not ignore his messages for they are of vital importance. Learn the symbols he uses to communicate with you. Be wary of Shar’s corruption of the truth of dreams, learn to know when she has entered your mind and how to oust her taint. In the waking world look for the signs he has left you, and his messages up above in the shapes of the clouds.

History and Relationships:

When Ulutiu awoke during the Second Dawn Cataclysm Lattabah sprang forth from him, and eventually found himself in the Gates of the Moon, where he now rests. He sleeps there most of the time, dreaming of the world, and only rises to take action when he sees things in his dreams that require his attention. He is allied with his progenitor Ulutiu as well as Savras for their shared interest in prophecy as well as Selune for he hates Shar for corrupting dreams with nightmares or other falsehoods. He opposes Auril for her evil works against Ulutiu.

Clergy and Temples:

Lattabah has few clergy members, mostly disorganized mystics not entirely involved in the world. It is believed many of them became his servants upon communicating directly with him in their dreams. Only a handful of public shrines are known to exist dedicated to him, and no temples. A few Temples of Savras or Selune have small chapels dedicated to him and on rare occasions he is shown in their religious art. He is worshiped alongside Ulutiu by the people of the great glacier.

Cuellana
Neutral Demigoddess
Portfolio: Education, understanding and learning.
Domains: Balance, knowledge, and runes.
Favored Weapon: Quarterstaff

Dogma:

Knowledge is power and there is no greater calling than to move towards understanding the universe. Through the challenge of learning we are made better. We are not born with talent or skill, we make it for ourselves through training. Learn from the wisdom of the past, and spread this wisdom to all. Through education we are made whole. Learn from teachers, and give to others your own knowledge whereby we as a whole shall be made better. Cuellena was once mortal and has achieved her divine status through challenging and bettering herself, emulate her in this way.

History and Relationships:

Cuellena in life was sage and planeswalker from Sigil of the Believers of the Source faction. She is believed to have discovered a puzzle maze library laid out by a forgotten God and upon completing it was raised to divinity, upon Oghma’s death she migrated to Toril at the behest of Deneir. She views herself as a student of Deneir and is closely allied with him Milil, Finder Wyvernspur, Gond, Dugmaren Brightmantle, and Urogolan. She opposses Cyric, Shar, and Leira from interfering with people's understanding and betterment of self.

Clergy and Temples:

Cuellena has only perhaps five or six independent temples, the rest of her clergy work within the congregations and temples of allied Gods, especially Deneir. Her few temples and any future temples take the form of schools. Her clergy work to establish formal education systems in the communities where they work. Two thirds of her clergy are Experts, and only one third are clerics.

I noticed that Helm is off the list (and so is Tyr). I understand that Tyr's portfolio has been taken over by Torm, but shouldn't Protection and/or Protectors be covered by one of the gods in the house of the Triad? Seems likes a very important aspect of the balance to me. But then, I might not be fully objective, Helm being my favorite god .

Amaunator posses the portfolio of protection! Combining that Law and Order are for the purpose of protection...

Also, in a way don't people seek every god for protection? No one has the portfolio of guardians, though, no.

The Dark Seldarine

At some point during the Second Dawn Cataclysm Sharess destroyed the Crescent Blade in a ritual which resurrected her son, Selvetarm. Selvetarm was resurrected free from Zanassu’s taint and was taken into Sharess realm as he recovered. He eventually took on the portfolio of multi-racial beings, and portraying himself as a half-elf. In the process also resurrecting Eilistraee/Vhaeraun (with the two halves, now equal and one) Eilistraee subsequently subsumed or destroyed Mask, taking on “Mask” as one of his/her aliases. Qilue’s essence had been absorbed in the process of Eilistraee’s death and upon her resurrection became a deity as well, then absorbed the portfolios Eilistraee lost as she shifted towards neutrality. Kiaransalee was a multi spheric deity, and although her memory was erased from the realms temporarily her efforts allowed her to re-enter the realms soon after her ‘erasure’. In the chaos of Ghaunadaur took from Lolth the portfolio of chaos within the realms.

The Dark Seldarine is slowly being absorbed into the main Faerunian pantheon as some of the members gain more and more non-drow worshipers. While some portfolios overlap and are not theirs within the context of the Faerunian pantheon – others are theirs alone.

Lolth: Spiders, evil, and assassins.
Eilistraee/Vhaeraun: Thievery, and swordwork.
Ghaunadaur: Chaos, aberrations, and outcasts.
Selvetarm: Multi-racial beings, battle prowess, and champions.
Kiaransalee: Kiaransalee controls banshees, and revenants over Velsharoons control of Liches. They contest all other forms of undead.

Lolth
Chaotic Evil Intermediate Goddess
Portfolio: Darkness, spiders, evil, evil drow, intrigue, and assassins.

Eilistraee/Vhaeraun
Chaotic Neutral Intermediate Deity
Portfolio: Thievery, neutral drow, swordwork, hunting, dance, and song.

Ghaunadaur
Chaotic Evil Intermediate Deity
Portfolio: Chaos, aberrations (especially amorphous entities such as oozes), outcasts, and rebellion.

Selvetarm
Chaotic Neutral Lesser God
Portfolio: Multiracial beings (especially half-elves), skill-at-arms, battle prowess and champions.

Kiaransalee
Chaotic Evil Demigoddess
Portfolio: Undeath (especially banshees, and revenants) vengeance, and hatred.

Qilue
Chaotic Good Demigoddess
Portfolio: Good drow, redemption, moonlight, and beauty.

Hmm, my bad, I missed that one. And I don't think everyone seeks gods for protection. Many will do for power, wealth, out of fear or simply out of gratitude for some reason. My two cents.

This is a write up I made for my players in a campaign:

"Deities of the Forgotten realms.

Organized by Plane. Deities reside in divine realms clustered in mini-pantheons of related deities. This sometimes means they are allied, but other times they have just been shoved together, and may often even be in open conflict. Acheron is an eternal battlefield between Bane and Tiamat with their subservient deities. On Mount Celestia both Torm and Amaunatar consider themselves the paramount deity, and they struggle over this non-violently. The deities of Hades, Dweomheart, the Abyss and The Twilight Forest have little to do with each other much of the time other than to reside in the same place.

Deities possess power over a concept in the universe, and this is their “portfolio”. They gain power from worship both directly (“Oh goddess hear my prayer…”, or “Please don’t hurt me”), or simply from the importance of the portfolios they possess. Generally deities cannot have the same portfolio but there are sometimes battles over who controls what portfolio.
